I was on a webinar for CV writing recently. I made a last minute decision (actually on the last day) to subscribe to the service and take advantage of the discounts for certain members. my initial hesitation was because whilst the fees may not in itself be a lot for customers in the UK, the Nigeria Naira is going through continuous devaluation and the exchange rates have risen so high it cost a lot for pay for this service. Also, I had subscribed to this service from another firm before and it was all about filling a tonne of forms and questionnaires and I did not have any one on one interaction with the CV Writer. The end product also was not that great in my view and I paid a lot for that also. I recall I did tell Julian the first day I met him that at present, I was missing an arm and a leg which I used to pay for the service and he did say at the end, I would be happy I did invest in this and he would give me an arm and a leg back. He did – and I am glad I did.
This email is to extend my gratitude to Julian for his service. He invested time to understand my career, coached me on how to write the case studies and provided a detailed review of what I had done. Julian made it seem I was the only customer he was working on and this is important as it felt like this was not just a job for him but he genuinely wants to make an impact on lives beyond just getting paid to do it. The documents he sends back would clearly show he has actually invested time to work on them. He also had great tips on how to make the documents work for the different roles that would open up especially for someone like me who has worked on different aspects of accounting. In summary, it has been a great pleasure working with Julian and I look forward to working with him in the future!
